YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT TO US!
We are taking the following steps to ensure a safe and positive experience at our clinic:
Virtual Telehealth Care
Virtual appointments will be offered and encouraged when appropriate to reduce the number of patients at the clinic.
Our clinicians will be working in scheduled shifts to significantly reduce the number of staff and patients in the clinic at one time.
Patients will be screened via telephone the day before their appointment using the COVID-19 Patient Screening Questions provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health. Patients who screen positive will be required to reschedule their appointment 14 or more days from their original appointment date. All staff are screened daily before their shift.
Modified Appointment Procedures
Patients are required to attend their appointment alone unless they are a minor or require a guardian due to a disability. If a guardian is needed, they will also need to be screened by phone call prior to the appointment.
Patients must arrive promptly at their scheduled appointment time as our waiting room is closed. Upon arrival, the patient will be directed into a private treatment room. All appointments will be one-on-one in a private treatment room. Our gym is temporarily closed.
Hand Hygiene & Infection Control
Hand sanitizer will be available at multiple locations around the clinic. All patients are required to wash their hands upon entry into the clinic. Hand hygiene will be performed by all clinicians upon entry into a treatment room and before/after contact with a patient. Service areas and equipment will be cleaned with enhanced disinfecting agents after each patient. Linens will be laundered after each patient. Signage will be displayed throughout the clinic to ensure proper infection control and physical distancing
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All staff are required to wear a mask. Masks will be changed daily or sooner if they become contaminated. Clinicians in close contact with patients will wear vinyl gloves. Gloves will be discarded after each patient. In cases where a patient is unable to wear a mask (ie, Bell’s Palsy, facial pain), the clinician will wear protective eyewear.
Patients are required to wear a well-fitted mask in the clinic. Cotton is acceptable. Patients that are not able to bring a clean mask from home will be asked to purchase a disposable surgical mask at the front desk. The cost of the masks will be $2.00, with $1.00 being donated to our A.L.L. For Kids initiative. For patients that would like to re-use their mask at their next appointment, safe storage guidelines will be provided.
A germ guard is set up at the front desk. Cashless or no-contact methods of payment are preferred when possible. We are happy to provide Interac Tap and e-transfer options. Digital copies of home exercise programs, receipts and reports will be provided when possible.
PLEASE NOTE: We are doing everything possible to protect our patients and staff. If you feel that there is anything we can do differently to make your experience better, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
