Ilona Giscan
(Physiotherapist)
Ilona was born and raised in Romania where she completed her education and training in physiotherapy. Ilona worked as a physiotherapist in both Romania and Greece before moving to Quebec, Canada with her family in 2013. Ilona completed a Bridging Program at the University of Montreal to become a registered physiotherapist in Canada and then continued her career at a private practice in Quebec for 9 years.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, Ilona was a nurse in Romania and Italy. Ilona’s nursing career was rich with European clinical experiences and she believes that her nursing background enhances her physiotherapy skills as she has a different and more complete perspective on various conditions and pathologies when treating her patients. Ilona has lived in many different countries and has become familiar with several cultures and languages along the way!
Ilona moved to Windsor, Ontario in July 2022 and is excited to discover Ontario and all of its beauties, including her new patients at Peach Physio!
Ilona loves spending time with her family, hiking, doing outdoor activities and she is a CrossFit enthusiast.
