Concussion Baseline Testing
A baseline test is an assessment that is taken before any concussion, activity, or treatment has occurred. Baseline testing data is important in determining the athletes’ pre-injury (normal) level of cognitive and physical function.
Because no two concussions are the same, baseline testing incorporates several procedures to ensure a comprehensive test. Our testing includes:
- ImPact Computerized Neurocognitive Assessment
- Balance and Reaction Time Testing
- Upper and Lower Body Screening
Post Concussion Treatment:
Whether you have just suffered a concussion or have been struggling with symptoms for a while, the team at Peach Physiotherapy applies best practices to get you back in-game as soon as possible.
As a patient is recovering from a concussion, an all-inclusive assessment involving the vestibular, ocular, cervical, autonomic, emotional and cognitive systems is used to identify and prioritize issues and formulate a plan for treatment. Through a structured return-to-play system, patients can return to sports and work in a safe and timely manner.
