Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Physiotherapists and Chiropractors are direct access health professionals so a physician’s referral is not needed. However, some health insurance providers may need a physician’s referral for compensation of fees paid for treatment. A simple call to your insurance provider will tell you what is needed.
How do I make an appointment?
To book an appointment, please call our office at 519-358-7342 or swing by the clinic at 463 St. Clair Street Unit 3. Another option is visiting the Contact Us link above and sending us a message. Our staff will be happy to get back to you promptly and set up whatever appointments you need.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your first assessment will take approximately 1 hour. Your therapist will complete a thorough history and take the time to discuss and set goals for treatment. The therapist will also perform relevant physical tests to help come to a diagnosis and establish a baseline of objective data. Based on patient input and the assessment findings, an individualized treatment plan will be established and provided to the patient.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring any copies of doctor referrals, insurance information, and test results related to your concern, as well as a list of current medications. We also ask patients to bring appropriate clothing shorts, tank tops, or loose clothing make it easier for the therapist to complete the assessment.
A private room to change at the clinic is available if needed.
How often will I need to come for therapy?
Treatment frequency and duration varies from person to person. During your initial assessment, your therapist will be able to determine your individual needs based on your diagnosis and goals of treatment.
Is there free parking on site?
Yes. There is ample parking available with handicap spaces close to the entrance.
Do you accept WSIB patients?
Yes. WSIB patients are regularly taken at the clinic and treated within WSIB’s guidelines. If you are a WSIB patient, please bring in any information you have regarding your claim.
Do you accept Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) insurance?
Yes. We treat MVA insurance claims. We also provide referrals to lawyers and other health care professionals that will make your recovery process the most optimal. If you are an MVA patient, please bring in any information you have regarding your claim.
Does OHIP cover my therapy?
In some cases, there is OHIP coverage for physiotherapy. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide services covered by OHIP at this time.
